John Lennon was on to something when he wrote “Imagine”. He was a visionary. The key message in this song involves living in the present and being in the moment. When you live in the present and don’t worry about the future or fret on the past, you will find inner peace. That inner peace will radiate from you and expand to others, bringing peace to the world one person at a time. He used his imagination to create a world where everyone lived in peace and harmony and then he wrote about it. Imagination is one of the most powerful tools we have in the toolbox of our mind.
When we were younger it was easy to go outside or sit in our room and use our imagination to wander off to faraway lands or become a superhero. In my case, it was always coming up with inventions and building space ships out of cardboard boxes with my cousins. There was no end to what we could accomplish and no limitations on our dreams. Imagination was encouraged by our parents.
Unfortunately, there are a lot of adults out there who have put the tool of imagination away and it has become dull in the bottom of the tool box of the mind. They are caught up in the day to day routine of their lives and do not take the time to connect with their magnificent core and use their imagination to create abundance in their lives. They are not living their purpose and do not feel fulfilled.
Fortunately, this condition is reversible!! People can change their lives by changing their thinking and embracing their creative, magnificent selves. Imagination is the key to success. It needs to be removed from the bottom of the tool box of the mind and sharpened with use. There is nothing to fear from exploring your creative side. You will find that it lifts your spirits and gives you wings to soar to new heights.
As John says “You may say that I’m a dreamer, I’m not the only one. I hope someday you’ll join me, and the world will live as one.”
