Today I am going to give you an easy recipe for a yummy and satisfying snack. This is low in calories and fat but full of taste.
You will need the following:
- 1 apple
- 1/2 whole wheat pita
- splenda or sugar substitute,
- and a dab of butter or margarine
Peel the apple and core it. Cut it into small squares and place in a bowl. Add 1/2 a teaspoon of cinnamon and one package of sugar substitute to the bowl with the apple. Stir the apple and cinnamon sugar together in the bowl. Place the bowl into the microwave for 45 seconds to 1 minute depending on the microwave. Take the pita and cut it into half. Take the margarine/butter and spread it on the inside of the pita on the top and bottom (should not use more than 1 teaspoon). Carefully remove the bowl from the microwave and scoop the contents into the half pita. Using a toaster oven, place the full pita into the toaster oven and heat up to desired level of crispy. The contents will be hot so be careful when eating it.
