Habits are a way of making good in our lives.

We are creatures of habit. We wake up, turn off the alarm and move into auto-pilot… You have breakfast, brush your teeth, get dressed, go to work, come home, relax and then go to bed. This pattern is repeated over and over again.

Guess what?? Everything you do is a reflection of one thing that has been programmed due to repetition. It has become a Habit.
Good habits help you get the things you want (and achieve the goals you have) quickly and easily. The key is recognizing the bad habits and working to change them.

In order to accomplish this, you need to really focus on what is stopping you from doing what you want to do? I need you to be brutally honest with yourself because otherwise nothing will change.

The problem is habits are done without thinking. Like going through our day, we do them (almost) on auto-pilot. Then regret it afterwards. If you can identify your biggest weakness then you will be on your way to changing your habits and improving your life.

I used to eat when I was bored. I’d raid the the cupboards looking for something to eat to occupy my mind so I wouldn’t think about what was really bothering me. I might start with one cookie but end up finishing the pack. I didn’t need the food. I wasn’t hungry. It was just a habit. Once I realized what I was doing, I was able to substitute that habit for a more healthy one and started to see a dramatic shift in my mood and energy levels.

Take a few days to really focus on what you are doing in certain situations and how it is making you feel. Once you have some habits written down, focus on one that you want to change right away. Take that one habit and come up with two to three action items that you can do immediately to start the process of change. You will need to focus on this for longer than a few days in order to make it stick. Put reminders up where you will see them so you can be reminded often.

If you need more guidance on how to take action on your habit, please message me and I will be more than happy to help you on your way!
